Looking back

Whenever I get a little bored I find myself on this blog looking back at all my 17 year old musings. Although most posts are cringe-y as hell it's nice to have this online diary and be able to look back at these old memories.

It's both embarrassing and funny to read about how hung up on one guy I became. What I would do now to go back and tell my younger self to snap out of it! Hindsight is such a marvelous thing. When I was younger I always fell hard for one person and then spent months and in one case years overthinking situations that would never happen and creating what I though would be perfect scenarios in my head. If only I put as much time and effort into my eyebrows at that age as what I did to falling for shithead boys.

At the moment I'm coming to the end of my 3 week summer holiday (never do an adult nursing degree if you want long ass summers like other uni students) and I really don't want to go back to uni. I love being home and being back with my family and having to leave that gets me every time despite living away for over a year and a half. I don't think I will ever truly settle anywhere away from where I grew up or away from my family. It is nice however going back and seeing my uni friends some of which have become some of my best friends. Although it is hard moving away and leaving what you are so used and comfortable with you get to meet so many new interesting and friendly (in most cases) people and open yourself up to new adventures and opportunities. And what is life if not an adventure?
