After much thought I came up with two; NO.1 being to loose some weight (if you have seen any of my other posts you may have read about "Operation Fitness" which failed miserably! opps) and NO.2 being to read the whole Bible.
With resolution NO.1 I didn't set a goal weight/loss that I wanted to achieve instead I just wanted to loose weight until I felt happy/comfortable with myself. I planned to loose the weight by giving up snacking on things like chocolate and cake(my 2 down-falls in life) and also by taking part in regular exercise. I know that both ways I was aiming to loose weight with are achievable because in 2011 I gave up chocolate for the durance of Lent, which I was quite proud about. And taking regular exercise I thought I would be able to contend with too as I used to go running every morning (at half past bloody 6 I hasten to add!) in the run up to my school ball/prom.
I entered 2012 with my hopes held high that this year I would undoubtedly stick to my resolutions and receive rewards for it....
It is with a heavy heart I tell you I have failed completely and utterly. There is no question about it I have got to be the worlds worst "New-Years-Resolution-Keeper" ever. We are only six days and I have broke one of my new years resolutions already. I've ate chocolate, pain Au choclat's, pizza, a bit more chocolate...the list goes on! I'm even sat here now snacking on Smarties which are on the bloomin' band list!
On the bright side I have been managing to keep with resolution number 2 and I'm 89 pages into the bible already.
To make myself feel a little better about the whole failing resolution situation I have told myself that I have actually not failed instead the first week of January is the time to prepare myself mentally for the task ahead therefore my new years resolution does not start till the 7th of January and I am going to make sure I succeed if it's the last thing I do. Although I know people say that if you want to loose weight you have to do it for yourself, and I really do want to do this for me, but it will also be great to prove to a few people that as a matter of fact I can actually loose weight.
To anyone who is reading I hope your new year resolutions are going well and if you have happened to fail just like me start again there is no one holding you back!
Much Love.
